Smokin-AJ's
Posts: 99
Has anyone tried the new Kingsford Charwood Lump Charcoal yet? I was at K-Roger yesterday and picked up a couple of bags for this weekend. I got to use the BGE at my son's B-Day Party.
I read the new review on the Naked Whiz site. It did look very promising. There bag has been updated.

Check out The Charcoal DB for all things Charcoal.

The last Kingsford I had burned like throwing sparklers into a fire. I used it on low and slow indirect cooks where it worked O.K.

I have used a bag of the new stuff with NO issues.

The Kroger brand itself is good and cheaper. I think it is made by Royal Oak.

Works fine for me, I am on my third bag. very little sparking, seems to burn slow. I have more left over to reuse than I remember having before and ....well.....i always have alot of ash from cooking nearaly everynight on the thing. Hope that helps.

Yes, I used it yesterday. It worked great. No problems. NO sparking. I guess I will use it until something changes.
