Looking to get a new Lodge skillet- what size y'all use regularly? 10 1/4, 12 inch? or bigger?

I have a 10"& 8" lodge. The 10 fits in the large without having to cut the handle off. Rarely use the 8 but nice to have.

thanks! I couldn't remember what size fit into the LBGE. Almost went with the 12... recommend lid too?

I use the 10 inch skillet a good bit. I ususally go to the dutch oven If I need something bigger for the stove top or egg.
By the way, I used your Italian beef recipe and cooked up a sirloin tip earlier this week, sliced it and cooked it with the other ingredients and let it "rest" in the fridge for 2 days. Used it to make some killer "sangwitches" tonight. My son (14) said to tell you it was great -- and he's right it was really great.
Post some more recipes like that one and the stuffed pizza recipe! You are becoming a legend in my family. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell them you're a man...  -
My local store did not have them but I'll buy them if I see them. Next is the pot & wont buy that without a lid. Haven't needed a lid for the pans yet but you never know.

lol. Just keep showing them the picture...the legend grows...
Glad the Ital Beef turned out. It's hard to mess that one up. BGE just cooks the roast too darn well. The meat and gravy freezes really well too. I've been making larger roasts than normal and freezing the excess... my wife is awfully appreciative. -
Amazon looks to have the full Lodge lineup and a lot is on sale. I just grabbed the 10 inch skillet for $16 and free shipping (love the Prime membership!) The 5 qt dutch oven is $35 and it includes the lid, which looks to fit the 10 in skillet as well. Is that a decent price? Seems like it!

Maybe one day you'll have your own cooking show on TFN... I'm imagining something that is a mixture of Emeril and Mrs. Doubtfire...

I think I paid $2-$3 more at wallyworld. Celtic Wolf told me they had the Dutch Oven but our local store didn't have them.

The Acadamy Sports near me carries Lodge stuff in their camping section from time to time at a pretty decent price.

Back in high school for a Halloween party I once dressed up as the fry-lady from our cafeteria. Hmm...maybe I have issues?!?
-
I throughly enjoy my 12 inch and my 8 inch. Not enough difference between a 10 and 12 for me. The 8 is perfect for a sandwich, quick reheat, and so forth.

also try bass pro shops they carry them at a reasonable price

i have two that i use regularly... a 10" and a 15.25"
here's the big one! :woohoo:

I'm in the hunt for a round CI griddle to use on my LBGE. It is kind of a tradition around here to grill breakfast on saturday morning..bout the only day we allow ourselves bisquets, sausage and eggs..I'd love to find about a 17" round since I usually fix bfast for 4 of us..have searched the net high and low to no avail.. I need room for 12-15 sausage patties or half a dozen fried eggs...
