As Rod Stewart says in his song tonights the night I cook my first brisket. Actually it will be early in the AM because it is only a six pounder and I don't need it until 5 or 6PM.


  • Good Luck! What kind of rub u using? I haven't got up the nerve for an all nighter yet. I need my beauty sleep :woohoo:

    good luck and let us know how it goes. One tip, on early morning cooks, I prep the egg and have everything ready to go the night before, just incase I hit the snooze button one to many times. Makes for an easy morning.... T ACGP, Inc.

    Good luck with it. Briskets can be tricky, but trust yourself and the egg - you'll be fine.

  • My thanks to all of you for the encouragement. As to the beauty sleep my Mother always tell me I was the prettiest baby but I must have lost it along the way so sleep won't help.
