picked up a new xl yesterday but no ceramic feet in the box. First time for me, no feet with a new egg. Searched the BGE website and their pictures show no feet between the egg and stone in a table set-up. So, are ceramic feet no longer required?

Sounds like a call HOME is in order.

Feet are not required for the xl, nor are they recommended.

The feet are only there to be used on a non flamable patio or driveway when you don't have a table or a nest to help make the EGG sit level. You don't get feet with an XL so you got what you were supposed to get.
If you put the EGG in a table it needs to be sitting on a concrete paving stone and doesn't need the feet. We have one EGG in a table here at the store that is on the feet so we can show what you are not supposed to do. -
Bobby-Q, is the mini supposed to be supplied with the feet?

TOM, GLAD TO HEAR YOU GOT YOUR XL. BET WE WILL BE SEEING SOME OF THOSE XL EGGCESSORIES SOON. AND THEY ARE CORRECT, THERE ARE NO FEET WITH THE XL. GOOD LUCK. MIKE

Thanks a lot, Tom. Now the Chicken is going to want one too. I told him he will have to put on an addition to the Chicken Coop before he can get an XL. Maybe that will hold him off for a while...at least until his fingers heal. Sure wish you were going to Florida!

The mini does not come with the feet.
The feet only come with the small, medium and large EGGS. -
Welcome to the XL club. Like all other sizes you'll get use to it. Just be careful, when using the cast iron grid. It will expand.

My XL didn't come with any feet. Went by my dealership and they gave me some. I have my XL sitting on the feet which are on top of a thick paver. Sounds like it's overkill but I thought an air space under the Egg was desirable. Should I take the feet out? Is it hurting anything by having the feet under the XL from an unsupported length perspective? I think I could remove them but it will be close with regard to the hinge clashing with the top of the table (see last photo)
Thanks in advance for your input. -
Glad you got it Tom. Get that big sucker in the table yet? Sure looked like a big hole compared to the one beside it.
