I would find a dealer and buy new. alot of advantages but the best is the warranty & will cost less in the long run. My second large was free but cost alot to rebuild and if anything breaks on that one I'm on my own. JMHO.

I'll sell my large for $1200 but I'll give you the wrong address for pickup. Dont want to part with either one.

i suppose the moral of this story is most eggers won't relinquish, sell, give up their eggs willingly. i've been playing around in the forum for over a year and i suppose i have seen only a handful of eggs come up for sale. and most frequently if someone is attempting to sell one, it is because someone has either won it in a contest or is the default owner by inheritance.
hang in there. btw, if you aren't in a hurry, you usually can purchase demo eggs at one of the eggfests at a substantial savings. -
Shoot me an email at geneandtania @ bellsouth.net
Let me know your price range for a large, I may be able to help you. You would need to come to Huntsville.

If you are looking for a good BGE dealer, I bought mine 18 months ago when I lived in Nashville from the Hearth and Grill store on Thompson Lane. The price was good on the egg and they cut me pretty decent discount on the accessories that I bought with it.
Take the plunge... Green Eggin' is the place to be. -
Erica,
I have a large BGE with Nest, im in East TN, 90 miles east of Knoxville. It has the "upgraded" Rutland gasket on it as well. I have the plate setter also. Let me know if you are still interested and we can discuss price.
