burger ala mapp

I was running late tonight and really felt like having a burger.
I was pondering lighting the mini but didn't feel like waiting when
it hit me. MAPP gas. I had never done this before, but I loaded the
mini with lump and hit the torch. I had a fire going in about 30
seconds, and a 650 degree egg in less than 10 minutes. I don't
remember who pioneered this technique here, but I'm a believer now.
I do recommend eye protection, however (lots of sparks).[p]Chuck

I think KOC was the first one to try the MAPP gas....Now thats the only way I light all my eggs.

And for you really "A" personalities that don't want to wait. Mapp and a hair dryer. 650 in 5 minutes. do I here less? Thats to temp FASTER that gas friends.

You guys are pikers. MAPP gas is for sissies, Hair dryers? Don't make me laugh. Real men use Oxygen to start their Q. 650 in 6 minutes? How about 2000+ in 3 seconds, that is a real man at work.
