In a feeble attempt to keep ahead of my wife who puts more in the freezer than she takes out, I cooked some rather Old Lake Trout. The store wanted $30.00 for a plank so I went to the lumberyard and picked up a couple of pieces of cedar. I oiled them and wrapped the bottom with foil and put them on the grill to warm at 300. Once warm I threw just a little alder and put on the sides of trout with my secret dressing, Mayonnaise with dill. This takes out all of the oily taste somehow. 20 minutes later we had the best fish I have had in a while. Not bad for old fish and lumberyard planks at $2.50. And best of all, one less old thing in the freezer. [p]MAC
