Had the butcher cut my first tri-tip today. Ever since I started reading this forum I have seen tri-tip cook after tri-tip cook come across the electronic waves. Figured I had to try it.
Now, how about some suggestions on the cook. Should I just do a regular ole T-Rex or add something special to it?

Also, Morrow Bay Rich has a nice recipe here:

Good Job for the first one.

I live in Nebraska so I should know every type of meat there is but what is a Tri-Tip? I've never heard about it until I got on this forum.

See, you are in the same boat I was. I had to look it up on the web. I had to ask the butcher today for one because they didn't have one cut. The one they cut me is only 1.64 lbs though. Still thats plenty for me and the wife.
The way I understand it the Tri-Tip is part of the bottom sirloin.
