How long can I let a butt "rest"??...

Put 2 seven pound butts on yesterday evening. They will be at 200 degrees in about two hours. I'm not serving until about 6pm this tonight. I've left them wrapped in foil in a cooler before for 2-3 hours and had great luck. How many hours is it safe to leave them wrapped in a cooler? Normally, I let them rest, pull them and put them in the warming drawer for an hour or so. But, I've got a little longer tonight...

Always check the resources, they are great. TNW has something on his FAQs that may help.

I have let them sit for up to 3 hrs and they were still hot. Some here have said up to 5 hrs, I would be comfortable letting them set 5-6 hours wrapped in HD foil, and a towel stored in a cooler
