Some time back there was a thread on good products used to clean grills. I think it was the same thread where they used trash can lids to soak them in.[p]I know about TRexing my grill to clean it, but I need a product. Does anyone remember what it was and where it can be purchased?[p]TIA

Morro Bay Rich,[p]That's it. Thanks!
-
DynaGreaseball,
i got that at kroger's. works very well.
-
you mean this one?
-
RRP,[p]That's the one, but now I can't find it in Charlotte NC. We don't have a Kroger. Charlotte is "owned" by Harris Teeter. Lowes Foods moved in recently and Winn Dixie is here. So far none of them have it.[p]Did you take that picture just for me?[p]By the way, we fixed your spicy shrimp last night. Man, they all think I'm a hero![p]
LOL[p]Thanks

DynaGreaseball,
mistaken identity here as I don't have a spicy shrimp recipe. [p]As for the garbage can lid & Dawn picture that was actually the fourth picture I took with my "new at the time" Cannon three years ago and I've posted it here several times since.

RRP,[p]Oooops! I coulda sworn it was yours. Thanks to whomever it was....it's pretty famous.[p]

DynaGreaseball,[p]Cleaning?[p]Gook = flavor (and sometimes a little extra fuel - that fire perks up when I scrape that crud into it).

DynaGreaseball,
AZRP has a spicy shrimp recipe........
-
DynaGreaseball,[p]Super Walmart sells that stuff.[p]

Fidel,[p]I know, but this time it was so caked on there, that it wouldn't scrape anymore. We tried cooking chicken using someone's recipe called "Sugar Curred". Well, it was a sticky mess, and it messed up the grid bad. I tRexed it, but it still needs to be shiney again.

TX'N in FLA,[p]Great thanks.

Rick's Tropical Delight,[p]Yes, I stand corrected. Only missed four of the letters in his handle by two letters.[p]Regards,[p]Dyna - confused most of the time - Greaseball

DynaGreaseball,[p]I use an old auto-mechanic's trick that used to be called "the Italian valve job". To clean the carbon off your cylinders and valves in a car, you would let the car warm up, then use a spray bottle to spray mist down the carburetor throat while the car is running.[p]On the Egg it only works on hotter cooks, maybe 500 or so. I take off the meat, then let the grill heat back up. Use a spray bottle and a wire brush. Spray, then scrub. If it cools down too much, let it heat up again. then repeat.[p]Effectively, this is steam cleaning your grill. Plus, you're using no chemicals. Doesn't get it spotless, but then...[p]Bob V
