Asparagus

Need a good way to cook asparagus on the egg - cooked it a couple of times, but feel that we aren't doing it the right way. Any suggestions/recipes greatly appreciated.

Alaegg,[p]I toss in EVOO, salt and pepper.[p]Make boats with about 5-6 stalks and toothpicks. I put 2 toothpicks in each boat to keep them together for easy flipping and removal. Cook 3-4 minutes per side depending on the size of the stalks. I like them a little charred so I do them direct. [p]

Alaegg,[p]Par grill it in olive oil salt pepper.
Wrap each one in Proscuitto.
Grill till crispy.
Top with Lemon juice, olive oil, and caper vinagrette.[p]

there is no "right" way. do what you like.[p][p][p]for me... i prefer the asparagus tips instead of the huge thick stalks. the tips are smaller and more tender and they cook faster.[p]

Fidel,[p]I do the same thing but add a little sugar to the mix to help caramelization.
