Buying an egg at Eggtober Fest?

GatorGuy,
I bought one last year. You sign up ahead of time and pay in advance. After the fest, they clean and cool all the used eggs and you get in a long line of cars and just pick them up. They have muscle to help you load. You can also buy used plate setters, etc. that day, but you pay for them on the spot. It's a great way to get an egg. The warranty applies. Just make good plans for transportation.

uncbbq,[p]How much of a discount are we talking here?
-
GatorGuy,[p]When I factored in the cost of the Texas EggFest that
was included, as well as all of the extras, I figured
I saved about 1/3 of the price of a new egg.[p]I was quite happy with it.

sneezix,
I think I paid just under $600 for a large, nest, 1 bag of BGE lump, grid lifter, metal top. I don't think they included the ash tool, but they may have. It's a great deal.

GatorGuy,
From the mouth of Bobby-Q "the only place you may find one cheaper is a garage sale" the last time I was in there and asked him the same question
-
GatorGuy,[p] I bought two large eggs at last years Eggtoberfest for $1159.00 Nest included. I bought the Plate Setters separately.[p]

Do they sell sizes besides the large? [p]I'm sure wanting me a medium.

GatorGuy,
You have the same e-mail address as my nephew. I think he got sold on a boston butt and ABT's at my house. Maybe I will give him a T-shirt if he buys an egg. Get a large.

I also picked up my second large there last October.[p]It was a really good deal (although I must have burned up $300 worth of gas waiting in the long line to pick it up . . .)[p]Some people were loading entire pallets of BGE lump since it was also on sale. This year I want to bring home a small.

HungryMan,[p]After my first meal cooked on an egg, I will change my handle to HungryNephew
