Good Morning Eggers,Can you cut off the handle of a cast iron fry pan with a hack saw? I am unable to get a pan up here ( Canada ) without the handle. Thanks for any help.
Happy July 4th to all. Willie.

Willie,[p]Yes. I bought my cast iron pan for my egg at the local 2nd hand store and did just that. It only takes a couple of minutes. I then smoothed the cut area with sand paper.
-
Willie,[p]I would use a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel or some other rotatry tool.
Regards,
Dan

Willie,
yes sir... with a sharp blade, then grind it smooth on the bench grinder.

Willie,
I used my power jig saw with a metal cutting blade and took it right off. A bit of filing and sanding made it perfect.[p]The 15" Lodge skillet fits the large very nice.[p]Spring "Part Time Metal Dust Maker" Chicken
