Good Eats,[p]I was introduced to the Egg in 2000 when my roommate rolled a Large into the house and I thought, "What the . . . ?" He told me he had been researching to find the perfect smoker, and this was what he had ended up with. I laughed.[p]That evening we cooked hamburgers and I have been a devout Egger ever since. I got my first Egg (a Medium) in 2001. I currently own two Mediums and a Mini.[p]TRex

Good Eats,
I am working on year number 6 with my large Egg. I have had many smokers, grills in the past. I still have a small gasser that I constructed from scratch. I haven't used it in several years. I have a large home made wood smoker that will hold two whole hogs. I will not get rid of it. The Egg is a wonderful machine but it has it's limits when it comes to large cooks. [p]Chef Jerry

13 months with a Large and 6 months with a small. My daughter says I'm going through mid-life crisis. Hybrid cars and Big Green Eggs occupy all of my time. I try to explain that I can support my "Egg" habit with the money we save by driving three hybrid cars.
She and my wife say, "You have warped rational."

2 large and one small on the way. [p]got my first egg in 1990. it is a large clay egg with all of the original parts intact. i have made a few repairs to the exterior of the egg though. i still use this egg for side dishes, bread and an occasional butt. However since i now have another large which i recently purchased, i do most of the cooking on it. [p]i can't wait to get the small up and cookin'.

Good Eats,[p]Bought my 'Large' in March 2006, so just about 13 months. My most successful and proudest moment came about 3 weeks ago when I did a 15 pound whole brisket, my FIRST and ONLY brisket yet. Cooked it low and slow for 17 hours around 235 degrees using pecan and hickory chuncks, and my own rub mix. UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC!! Before munching it, I just stared at it in amazement, smelling its aroma on the kitchen counter. Very moist and done to perfection, cant wait to do another one.............Eggcitable Boy
