My almost 12 year old son has been learning how to cook on the Egg and has taken some test pictures.[p]Hope it's not too blurry as we're just learning how to use the digital camera from my cell phone for the first time.[p]SpatchcockChickenandRoastedPotatoes.jpg [p]Roasted Potatoes and Spatchcock Chicken with DP rubs!

Legally Blind Egghead,[p]That looks awesome!! How did the taters turn out? I haven't tried them on the egg yet, so if you have any pointers I am all ears!
  • AlaskanC,[p]It was actually my first attempt. All I did was scrub and slice 'em and threw 'em in a bowl after I patted dry. I drizzled EVOO and kosher salt and pepper, then I added DP Raging River and kept mixing 'em in a bowl until all were coated. Put the bowl in the fridge til I got the Egg ready for the cook.[p]I used a fish/veggie rack (with little holse) and rubbed with more EVOO. I put on raised grid at about 350-375 for I think 45 minutes to an hour turning once. They came out really great.[p]Joey[p]

    AlaskanC,
Baked potaoes on the egg have become a family favorite. Rub with evoo, kosher salt and we use some natures seasoning on them. direct at 350 for an hourish.[p]Would go nice with the king crab and prime rib...[p]Ed
