<p />Hi all, I've been cooking on my egg for a week now. Can't stay away from it. Smoked the best ribs I have ever had with 3-1-1 method. Night before had the juciest tbones. [p]I have learned alot about my new egg from you all. [p]Cheers, Matt

MeatMatt, nice looking ribs. One suggestion, you might want to put something nonflamable between the egg and the deck. Or, over time you may have trouble. Maybe fishlessman will post his picture from having the egg on the deck....

mine sat on the feet for a couple of years on the wood with no problem, then one night while i slept during a low and slow this happened. meatmatt, you might want to put a stepping stone or some steel/stainless, or some type of heat barrier under that egg, this could of been much worse, i was lucky

Hey all, [p]Thanks for the warm welcome and caution about the wood deck. Hard to see in the photo but my egg is sitting on 3 2.5" bricks. I hope to put him in an egg cooking table soon. [p]Can't wait for the next smoke. [p]Matt[p]
