Celtic Wolf,[p]Asked wifey if she wanted me to fire up egg tonight(cost me less money) but she wants to go out(didn't want to give date night). Looking to do some pizzas on Saturday for son, daugher-in-law and grandkids. Sunday spatchcock chicken(anxious to try first shipment of Dizzy Pig rubs).

Morning Celtic Wolf:[p]Probably nothing! The wife is out of town until Sunday evening and tonight I will be singing with our church choir in a concert. [p]Tomorrow I will get my fill of good (hopefully) BBQ as I will be a judge at the Plant City Pig Jam, so I don't need to be doing any cooking. [p]Hope to pickup the Turkey on Sunday for Thursday and start prep of it before I have to pick up the wife.[p]Everyone enjoy your cooking, actually wish I was able to.[p]Have a GREAT day!

Car Wash Mike,[p] Now that looks like a good marinade. Think I will plagiarize it from you for my Tri Tip
-
Celtic Wolf,[p]Just got the egg stabilized at 350 F, going to put on potatoes for baking for a hour or so, then TREX a porterhouse and two NY strips, and cook some mushrooms. Tomorrow - my first Mad Max turkey (21 lbs). Sunday - Tri Tips. Got my Tep True thermometer yesterday to replace the broken BGE one - goes up to 1000 F, got to TREX.

Celtic Wolf,
I stole it from Giada. She did some ribeyes with it the other day. So it will be a first time for me. She said let it set in fridge a couple hours.[p]Mike
-
BOBF,
rub a little olive oil and some kosher salt all over those potatoes before you bake them ... you won't be sorry . . .(they are like the 'jacketed' baked taters you get at outback, only better)
-
mad max beyond eggdome,[p]Thanks I sencerely appreciate the tip. I am going to go set some upright now. I have cooked for most of my life - started on a grill in Albuquerque at 14. I am amazed at how much I have learned on this forum.

Celtic Wolf,[p]Egg is doing a pork butt and brisket for me, maybe a turkey also, just for grins, depending on time.[p]Overall the weekend will see the other cookers doing another 6 briskets, 5 butts, two picnics, 7 baby backs and two turkeys.[p]Some folks just dont like turkey for thanksgiving, or ONLY turkey I should say, and I'm more than happy to help out where I can.[p]Oh yeah, I have to rake the yard to keep the missus happy also.[p]Hope everyone has a great weekend of cooking.[p]Troy
