Enhanced Meats

read a thread here a while ago on the subject so when in the store y'day
checked the label on the babyback ribs I bought recently.....injected with
water, salt and sodium phosphate. That has got to be why they always taste
so "hammy".
I've never liked the things when I fixed 'em,but figured it was just me or
the way I was cooking them. From time to time would go back and try 'em
over again.....jeeez.
Fortunately the spares I but there (at Kroger) don't appear to be "enhanced " and they always taste great.
Will be reading and paying attention to the labels from here on out.
Thanks for the info guys...
Jim

The Owner of the meat packing co that I get most of my meat told me once
about how hard it was for him to find Baby backs that weren't "Juiced"
He said Sams , walmart and most of the super stores ribs were Juiced and
they wouldn't take the flavor of the Rub, or sause the same way as Natural
    meats.
