Egg lit, good fire, went to adjust bottom vent and will not budge. Took lighter to it, Nothing. It's been freezing w/ frozen rain, snow and currently 16 degrees. Thanks!

Adjust temp with top vent. One or the other is fine, you don't need both.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Maybe it's not ice, if the lighter didn't work. Maybe spray some WD-40 on it??Memphis, TN

Try some spray cooking oil. The heat from the BGE fire should warm up any ice accumulation in relatively short order. Were you able to initially open it, sorta implied in your opening thread? If so then use some pliers to expand the groove.
Asking because the first thing I do when firing the fire is to open the lower vent, FWIW.

Had the same problem couple hours ago. Dumped some hot water to open a bit, it froze again, so I repeated and set it open where I wanted it for 300... Egg heated up now it's all good.Dave

I know you have it open know but if it happens again a Harbor Freight heat gun (on sale now for under $10) would be fast and easy and will also light the lump in about 30 seconds.
