Hey Folks,[p]Planning on taking a trip with wife and friends. I really want to take my large BGE, but obviously it's a big son of a gun. Anyone have any ideas about how to do it? I have a van with seats that recline into the floor.[p]My other thought is to buy a mini, which would be easier to travel with... However, would I be able to cook for a group? How much food can you get on a mini?[p]Thanks for any help you can give.[p]John

FV-Egger,[p]That looks really cool. I am going to have to find out about that setup.[p]Thanks

John,[p]Drop me an email and I'll send you what he sent me.

John,[p]Pretty easy actually. A couple sheets of plywood with 2x3's or whatever to form a table. Basically use the dimensions for a table as shown on the BGE website - I think the vertical is about 13 inches and the hole is something close to 18 for a large BGE with other sizes done similarly. The only hassle is getting the Egg in and out of the unit - you might want to make the top removable to make it easier.

FV-Egger,
That would be "Grillmeister" that designed the carrier not grillicious...and the details can be found on my website in the tips section.....just for the record...LOL[p]Wess

How in the heck do you lift in into the van????????
I kinda like the idea for a small though. -
WessB,[p]I stand corrected, thanks for setting the record straight.

FV-Egger, LOL...actually you're both right. I built Grillmeister's a couple of years ago and provided the dimensions to FV-Egger. I borrowed Grillmeister's photo for him to see, and gave credit to Grillmeister at the time. Wess, I forgot you had the dimensions on your site or I would have directed him there.
