New XL Spring System

Hey XL owners...I just installed the new springs on my XL that I purchased last month. Man oh Man do they make a difference. These babies are the best thing since...since...well, since the Egg itself. I'm serious...the difference is incredible and they are extremely easy to install. The XL was great to begin with but now its perfect. If you have been holding off on an XL because of the weight of the dome...wait no longer.

Glad to hear it. Picking my new springs up this weekend[p]Jim

Rh,[p]Cool. I'm off to get them this weekend. Don't know if you saw my earlier posting. Used my new XL for the first time last weekend. Still thinking about those two(perfect) roasted free range chickens. Does it seem you need the dampers open a tad more than recommended to maintain operating temp? Appreciate your thoughts. Carlo,
You will love the new XL spring assist kit.It is very simple to install and works great. It does seem to take a little more air flow for XL than the large but it may be easier to raise and lower the temps on the XL and it holds alot of food.

I got my XL last November after waiting for two months for the new sping system to be developed. Is this another new spring system that just became available? THX

YB,[p]Thank you, friend. It's only the beginning.

Carlo,
I've only had mine for a short while...so I won't be much help, but it does seem to take a while to cool it down from high temps. I did TRex ribeye's last weekend and am still amazed at how good they were.
