She's a wonderful wife and a truly amazing mother to my children. Plus she puts up with me....therefore - I cook.
Reverse seared SRF Cowboy and scallops on the salt block.
Fried rice, zucchini and onions on the Blackstone 17.
No pics of the fried rice but I was happy with the result. Minimal pics of the rest as I had about as much as I could handle trying to get the food to the table.
Here's a couple of pics that are all whacked out of order. Was a little disapointed in the Cowboy as it wasn't as good as the last one we had. There was line of sinew through the middle and more scraps than normal. Anyway, she loved the meal so that's what matters. Still better than we would have had if we went out to dinner. Costco frozen scallops were a little small and were done before I could get a good crust. Loved the flavor from the salt block though.

Thanks @blasting. We have a big party coming up this weekend with more cooks. We're renting a bus for the party and doing 40 random acts of kindness ( beer involved of course!) New thread coming for that one.

Glad to see somebody else has a salt stone. Never seen another in use. Looks great!

Very nice indeed. I had the same problem with scallops on the salt block. They release their moisture and steam rather than searing. Mine were also too salty. I've gone back to CI with scallops. Happy birthday to your wife brother.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

I can't taste it unfortunately, but by looks alone I would say Grand Slam! Nice to hear your thoughts on your obvious better half. Lol. Cheers.

Looks great, sorry to hear about the ribeye, mine was outstanding!

Happy birthday to her. Food looks great. Did you hot tub the steak before cooking? I ask because the steak appears to have the same doneness level throughout the cross section.

I told my wife turning 40 that her lease was up and I'm turning her in for a new model. 15 years later I'm still cooking for her most every night.New Albany, Ohio

Thank you for all the compliments. I will pass along the B'day wishes from my egghead colleagues.
@Semolina Pilchard no hot tub. Just a reverse sear. 275 indirect until 120 internal. Then seared down low on the spider.

Does she know that you announced her age world wide?

Good looking cook. Happy birthday to your wife.
I always threatened to trade my wife in for two 25s when she reached 50. But by the time she hit 50 I had forgotten what to do with the 25s so she is still around.Marshall in Beautiful Fruit Cove, FL.
