Don't try this at home. While the end product was awesome, the effort over 3.5 hours was only good if you enjoy wasted time. Went with this recipe out of SL.
Too many steps for breakfast. Hands on number is a lie, total is true.
But here it is.
The springform pan I thought would be tight. Not so, rookie belief. Had to scoop egg mixture out of the foil lined sheet pan and put that back in springform pan.
End of the day it was a fine meal. Embark on this recipe if you enjoy multi step recipes or baking.
Im no longer hungry and the college kids next door are about to get a great snack. Happy Saturday.

cheddar, grits, bacon.... no way that could suck! looks delicious, bummer it took so long to make though! you can send the tomatoes my way. just picked the first small ripe ones of the year today. (the rule for tomatoes up here is this: when i go on vacation, they ALL ripen at once, and when i come back they're all rotten. EVERY time.)Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Ya I don't like a lot of the book recipe stuff. Most times it takes hours, though normally good.
