So i was planning on a 5-6lbs bone in pork butt this weekend. But my butcher gave me a 8lb'er. So my question is whats the biggest pork butt anyones done in the mini? Thought about indirect and 325ish for cooking. Anyone?
Thanks!

If it fits--cook it. Just make sure you have enough coverage for deflection. If you are overhanging use a disposable aluminum pan and smash it flat for additional--heat deflectorColumbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

I'm sure it will fit. I just put on a 5.5 lb shoulder and I have a 3" raised grid.

I did a 9lber once. It will fit, but you may need to pull your thermometer so it doesn't stick into the protein. Pull the clip off of the post inside the dome. Remove the thermometer. Reinstall the flip onto the thermometer post and then slide it back into the dome opening.
