It's time to start thinking about Eggfests!  This year we are adding a new one to our list of "must attend"..... The Space City Eggfest in Old Town Spring, Texas on May 21st. Spring is about 30 miles north of Houston and Old Town is full of shops and treasures. One place you don't want to miss is the Simply Texas Pepper Palace Spice shop http://www.simplytx.com/.

Check out the Space City website (updating daily) and sign up. There is no charge for cooks. Ace Hardware is going all out to make sure this is a wonderful event for everyone - cooks and tasters.

    Athens is definitely a family event.  Kids will love it. It is held at the Texas Fisheries. Check it out...http://tpwd.texas.gov/spdest/visitorcenters/tffc/

    I don't know anything about Space City yet because this is the first year. It is being held in Old Town Spring which is very "wife" oriented. Tons of shops to stroll through while you slave over a hot Egg  :-)

    Very familiar with Old Town Spring, live just a few miles away and have spend many (boring for ME) afternoons there with the wife.

    Heard back from Troy with ACE about the event today-

    "Our goal is always to be family friendly.  There will be alcohol sold at the event.

     Being the first year we withheld having activities for kids to participate in but will add in coming years."
