OT: anyone else ROOT their Android phones?

I spent some time yesterday and finally bit the bullet. I rooted my Galaxy S5, so far so good. Still on my first Rom, so I have nothing to compare it to yet, but I'm happy with the personalization you can achieve.

Here's a couple screenshots of wallpapers I made today. The pic is my wife shooting gophers last summer.

I rooted my Samsung's because they had incredibly too much bloat. My last phone was the OnePlus One and my current is a Nexus 6P. The + was pretty much bloat free and the 6P is Pure Android so I haven't found the need, yet.

Cool background!! Are you still using TouchWhiz? How has the performance been?
