My wife and I are hosting a baby shower this Sunday for one of my employees. Should be about 40 people. I've got four butts about 8 lbs each and four tri-tips. I'm planning on cooking the tri-tip tommorrow morning then refrigerate until Sunday. I'll slice them very thin and serve with a mixture of beef broth and Lipton's onion soup mix. I'll do the butts overnight. I've done four at a time in the WSM but not in the Egg. What is the best setup for four in a large? Two on the main grate and two on the grid extender or put all four on the main grate? -RP

    AZRP,
I have always done them all four on the main grate and it works fine, however I have never used the grill extender though. Maybe whatever your comfortable doing. Good Luck Jason

    <p />AZRP,
Funny you should ask... This was four 8 pounders for a women's shelter. Turned out great![p]TNW

    The Naked Whiz,
Thanks for the pic, I don't think my grid extender sits high enough so that the top butts will be sitting on the lower ones. Is that a problem, or once they start shrinking they will get some separation? -RP
