XL and Stoker

Stoker recommends the 10CFM to use on an XL. When I tried it - it just blasted air through the XL. It seems that the 5CFM fan would do a better job for low and slows. Has anybody tried the 5CFM fan on the XL?

We run a 5cfm on our XL.

It should run in short bursts once it gets close to temp.

I use s 6.5cfm blower on both my medium and XL.

I've used my 5cfm with my XL. No issue. I think it's a $ grab for them saying the XL needs the 10cfm

Thanks for the info. I will try the 5CFM....10CFM seemed to much. Doing an overnight brisket this weekend...

Also, the Large's adapter can fit XL, not perfectly but works.

I'm not sure what fan I have. I'd be willing to bet is the 10cfm the way it pumps out the smoke. Been thinking of maybe adding a variable speed switch.
