Just cooked my 3rd meal on the egg, salmon on a oak plank. Gleemed ideas from the forum and made my own reciepe. [p]Put a liitle olive oil on fish, grated lemon peel and sprinkled with Mrs Dash origninal, fresh salt and fresh ground pepper. Placed lemon slices on top and let rest for 30 minutes while the egg was coming to temp and the plank soaking. Cooked at 350 for about 30 minutes with....not a flake left. (next time I will oil the plank!)[p]The other two meals were a sissling ribeye steak a three rakes of pork ribs. Love the egg...never go back to a metal smoker. [p]Thanks to the forum for all the help getting me up and cooking, I have been egged![p]JG

JG,
most times the filet will have skin on it, and that precludes any need for oil. you do filets or steaks?[p]

I've had my egg for a year now, have cooked on it 3-4 times a week and have never done a pork loin. Maybe I'm missing something. -
JG,
you doan have to eat it! in fact, it slides right off the skin when you cook it on the plank.
