Eggward the Mini Got Some New Digs... Pix

Eggward is now stylin' and profilin'. 
He got his new carrier and a Rutland gasket. And I cleaned up the custom handle that I carved for it awhile back. It's made outta some driftwood that I picked up at Lake Jocassee. I went ahead and added several coats of polyeurathane.
The carrier has pretty short legs, so I placed a $4 rubber patio "stone" under it just in case. Really happy with the new carrier. It'll come in handy.

I'm telling ya, the mini could be making a comeback (not that it went anywhere) With the carrier it is sportier than the MM IMO. Love the handle @Dyal_SCIn the middle of Georgia! Geaux Tigers!!!!!

That hadle is awesome. Couple questions: (1) what is keeping your grid raised so high? (2) what are you using to raise your thermometer?

Thx y'all! @slovelad , it's a wine cork in the thermometer to allow for extra clearance up in the dome for larger cuts of meat. The grate is on top of the mini woo from CGS. The woo along with a set of old world stone pizza stones increases the Mini's versatility exponentially.

I love the look, I've been wanting to upgrade my handle on he large (older style with small handle). Did you just cut a slot in the wood or is it two pieces? How did you fasten it? Thanks.

I really like the new carrier. I occasionally take my mini with me when going to the lake or on vacation and the new carrier looks like the ticket for traveling. Nice handle too!
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

Thx y'all! @feef706 , I'll hafta take a better pic of the back of it tomorrow to show how I have it attached. It's in two separate pieces that I concavely carved to allow for the bar to set fairly snug inside the two pieces to allow for a comfortable grip. I have them attached with two simple screws.

@feef706 , it was still pitch dark when I left this morning, so I wasn't able to take a pic of the back. But here is an old pic (pre-poly) so you can get an idea. You have to carve the two pieces until they're concave so that they will become flush when attached around the bar. Otherwise it will be too bulky and won't feel right. The bar has two holes in it where you can screw the handle in place through the backside.

Love the fact that they finally came out with one of these. I was considering trying to sell my mini to get a MiniMax because the mini had no carrier. I really didn't want the extra weight of the MiniMax so I'm glad I held off. Thanks for posting! -
I was eyeballing the MM for the same reason @mcgolden . About time BGE made one for the mini.
