First spatchcock chicken

Since I got my egg a few weeks ago I've been experimenting with chicken pieces, pork chops, burgers & steaks.  I finally spatchcocked a chicken tonight after reading up on it here.  Thanks for the tips!

Anyways, it's a 6 1/2 pound home raised bird with Cookshack Spicy Chicken Rub.  350 degrees raised direct (a little pecan wood added) for about 70 minutes.  I think I'm a spatchcock convert.

The foil pan was smoked mac & cheese with Panko topping.  That was good but the chicken was the star.
