Baby Back Ribs

When cooking ribs over the weekend my fire basically burned out after 4 hours.  I felt like i had enough charcoal at the beginning.  Any thoughts on what i did wrong??

    what temp?  How much lump in the Egg?  Calibrated dome thermo?

    Temp was 225-250; enough lump to cover the bottom

    fill up the firebox to the fire ring.   at 250 I can have my large Egg burn for 24+ hours.

    If the ribs are done you can shut it down and still reuse all the lump leftover on your next cook.

    Better to load it up.  You can always use the rest latter on another cook.

    Did you stir the lump. I have had too much ash blocking up the coal even though I scraped the ash out the door before a cook. I always stir my old coal now. 

    Probably just too little lump, but this is a problem for some people.

    No that was not the issue.  Unfortunately I did not use enough lump.
