Memorial Day Weekend 2015...

Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend...
I am on call; but that won't completely ruin the 3 days. Just have to make it to Monday morning LOL... The weather looks good and the temps are not too extreme so I am hoping that it isnt too bad.
Tonight's cook is going to be some burgers and dogs... Tomorrow, my wife and daughter will be going on a little field trip with cousins so I will be flying solo for most of the day since I'm on call. Planning on doing some chuck eye steaks...
Sunday, no idea yet. We are supposed to go to my BIL for a cook out so I am not sure what we'll be bringing yet...
I was up very early this morning and along with work, I've also managed to get the shopping done, beers are iced down, I picked up some more Hendricks and tonic as well. Finally found the Woodford Rye, grabbed a bottle to give it a try at some point.

Wish I could be on call with you. Sounds awesome. So...how do like chuck eye steaks? I've never bought or cooked that cut.Fish, Hunt, Cook....anything else?

Love the chuck eye, great flavor and you can't beat the price. Usually about half of what you would pay for the ribeye

@hapster Where can I get a job that allows me to ice down beer while on call? Well I guess I could ice it down but not drink it but where is the fun with that! Still working on a draft menu here and planning on some quality photo shooting time as well!In the middle of Georgia! Geaux Tigers!!!!!

On call for me means answering my phone, redirecting issues to vendors, making decisions... rarely, unless it's an extreme weather event, do I actually have to go anywhere. I normally work from home on Fridays so icing down beer isn't a big deal, especially since I won't crack one till at least 4:30 at the earliest. While I'm on call I may have one or two but thats about it. Cheers everybody... Looks like dinner plans have changed. Wife is down for the count with a stomach bug thing, and just got Elise home from Hershey Park so she's not too hungry, nothing a leftover slice of cold pizza can't cure. Egg's been at 400° for about 3 hours now... Thinking I may just shut her down rather than do a bunch of dogs or maybe do a chuck eye... MSV Chill Spot

My wife is entertaining friends at our house all weekend long, and my job is to cook. I have 3 full days of Egging planned with a low country boil thrown in for good effect. I'm one happy Egghead.

We are on the down low this weekend. Daughter #1 got wisdom teeth extracted. Soft foods and happy pills for her. Did pick up a CAB Tri-Tip for today. A Moscow Mule or 2 sometime today after yard work and a sales call from the invisible dog fence guy.I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.

This is the third weekend in a row it has rained here, we need the moisture but I sure wish it'd come during the week instead. Haven't egged in 3 weeks and I have a new Nikon I want to take out in the field and shoot with.

Some images from today... Made some Zing Zang shrimp with Meatchurch Fijita rub. Burgers later... My firebox is cracked to the point that I have to handle it like its gonna crumble at any point. Decided to put it back in, I have the warranty replacement in the garage.
