I have been Egging now for a month and I have learned a great deal from everyone on the forum. I didn't realize how much I was going to enjoy the Egg. I finally did my first low and slow tonight with some Spareribs. Dry rub only-- smoked at 250 for 4.5 hours. Platesetter legs up. Turned out perfect.

Welcome to the forum. Love spares on the egg ... get to cook them just the way I like them. How did you determine that they were done at 4.5 hours?

Jeepster-- I did a tongs test -- held the rack perpendicular and the meat broke at the edges. Honestly they probably could of gone a little longer but they tasted great. Solid smoke ring on the edges and meat near the bone was brown -- instead of white.

Thanks for the feedback. At 250, mine have taken 5.5 to 6.0 hours, that's why I asked.
