...grilled up on the Large BGE. Flattened real wide and thin under a gallon sized ziplock bag with a rolling pin. Seasoned with just sea salt. Sometimes simpler is better. Hit the spot. Didn't spend any time trying to get quality pix b/c we were hongry. We sorta like thinner burgers... Extra seared surface area, it extends past the bun, plus you can fit extra stuff on there without hyperextending your jaw. .

Thank you for making a great point. Sometimes simple is better. *Messaging my husband now to take some ground cow out of the freezer for tonight*

Thin burgers are the best! If I want it thicker, I just add another patty!

@Dyal_SC-clicked on your thread as you are a master of preps and cooks. Definitely right there with your usual "push the envelope" albeit simple cook. Great eats!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I tried thin burgers last night and they turned out really good. I made the burgers about 10% bigger than the bun but they shrunk up smaller than the bun. Just how big do you make those suckers Dyal to end up with "bigger than the bun" burgers?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Thx fellas. @SmokeyPitt , here is a pic. These were 1/3 lb patties. Rolled them super thin under a ziplock bag. Here they were precooked on the large. They were pretty big. I put them in the freezer for a little while so they'd stay together.

Thanks man...next time I will go bigger! I can't stand it when my burger doesn't go coast to coast on my bun.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Only downside is that you won't be able to fit as many at once on your egg. But then again, they grill up 5 x faster.
