What is easy way too doo wings? I am thinking raised direct? I got guest thAt like mild and others like hot. Should I cook them then just toss in mixing bowl with sauce or baste when almost finished?

Raised direct is fine but maybe you should go raised indirect...a little more forgiving. Try raised direct for yourself first. I never serve guests something I haven't done or tried before.

For wings I like to cook at 400ish indirect, sauce then back on the egg to set the sauce.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

I have had my best luck at 400 indirect, and am very happy with my results.I tried direct raised at 350 a couple times, wasn't happy with them.Large BGE, Mini BGEMorgantown, PA

Raised direct 400. It works fine.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

I like raised direct 400 for about 30 mins. with mickey`s coffee rub and then KC masterpiece at the very end. Good luck!Belleville, Michigan

Temp really plays more into direct but the rub is the big factor. Higher heat with a high sugar based rub will burn easy. 400 direct is tough with a sugary rub. Even indirect you have to watch them. They will turn/char very fast when it happens. The coffee rub is good at higher temps.I really like to go lower and longer with wings to render the fat a little more. You will soon find out what you like and what works well.Take photos...Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

I cook wings indirect at 400-450. I sauce em with about 10 min to go to set the sauce. I don't use any sugary rubs or sauces so that temp works great for me. I have done raised direct a few times but prefer indirect raised higher in the dome. You'll find what works for you. It's pretty hard to screw up any type of chicken on the egg unless you totally overcook it.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

I cook raised indirect at 400 with a 30-20-10 method. 30 minutes one side flip then 20 minutes, then sauce and finish with 10 minutes then pull and enjoy. Learned this method from Nibble Me This check his blog and recipes for 30-20-10 wings.Be WellKnoxville TN
