I don't want to gum up the official thread but I had to comment. All of those posts looks AWESOME! I was scrolling through and my son saw @NPHuskerFL 's post and his jaw dropped and he went OOOOHHHHHH. @PaqMan 's took the vote, though - he thought the potato would be good for mashing Nice work everyone, those steaks are killer.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Damn. @BigGreenCraig that should win it.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

Holy cow! Pun intended. That was fun and man you guys put out some quality work. I have a hard time voting. My favorite part is Donnie "I don't even have a steak pic on my egg" Dawes @dldawes1 dropped that bomb on us. ^:)^ They're all really good looking cooks.@Jeremiah thanks for the suggestion and moderating. It was a blast.
-
And lest I forget. All the forks... >:)

The fork in the shot is a must guys!------------------------------

Since I cannot vote for my own... lol.. I have to give the nod to Craig. I really like Huskers too, but only can vote for one.Wished the voting could start after the end of the throw-down so everyone could review all entries, but hey, it is all in fun and I enjoyed it anyway!------------------------------

All the cooks were excellent. Congrats to all!!! The real winners were those that got to eat all that deliciousness. One way to do the voting would be to have cooking pics posted by Sunday night and voting starts at midnight. Voting could then go for a day or two.. Just a thought.XL BGE, LG BGE, and a hunger to grill everything in sight!!!Joe- Strongsville, OH

I couldn't get large photos to post. What's the trick with that? I down loaded the photos to my desktop then uploaded them. I think it does it from phone, but it didn't do a date stamp so I didn't use it.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

Just blame inebreation. Works for everyone here. -
And the results: a four way tie. @hapster @dldawes1 @NPHuskerFL @BigGreenCraig
I can't get on a real computer to tell if anyone voted more than once so eff it. I declare a tie. Thanks for participating everyone! \m/Slumming it in Aiken, SC. -
Soooo... Was doing some reading, and Vanilla forums have a vote option, but the Admins must install the plug-in (I think). That would make this site pretty awesome if that feature could be activated where a throw-down could be initiated and votes could be accounted for more efficiently. Hopefully they're reading this and could make the add for us, PLEASE....------------------------------

Thanks again @Jeremiah and congrats to all. Lots of fun.

From the other post that won I see I need to step up my game on presentation and photo taking. I thought I was doing well considering I was doing it during a rain storm with wind. It would help if SWMBO could have helped more, but she was having to keep our 5 year old busy. Congrats to the winners and I am ready for another one it was a lot of fun. Maybe ribs next time.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

Ribs would be cool. I was thinking maybe doing an open food- but limiting the price of the meat. Like $20 or something.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

@jeremiah you really do a good job with these throwdowns. I enjoy looking. I have absolutely zero chance of competing against these skilled photographers. If you had one that was limited to only one picture per entry. Just one action shot on the egg. Something simple, like maybe a burger patty or sausage links More people might be able to get lucky and catch one good photo worthy of an entry.Just a thought. Probably a bad one but..."I'm stupidest when I try to be funny"

@TigerTony I went in fully expecting to "get beat" it's hard to "compete" against presentation skills of @BigGreenCraig @hapster @NPHuskerFL and @tarheelmatt . In fact when it all started my wife said isn't it just a presentation contest? Yep, but we got a good meal and for to see everyone else cook a good meal and maybe learn something.I said all that to say: who cares what the final tally is? Have fun and eat good and enjoy yourself.
-
@TigerTony no that's a good idea. I was thinking limiting it to two photos. One egged and one plated. Mainly to keep the thread from getting overloaded. And thanks! This was my first. I took @Griffin 's lead from his wing throwdown. I'll do another after thanksgivingSlumming it in Aiken, SC.

That, I like. I had a hard time opening as it got longer.Jeremiah said:I was thinking limiting it to two photos. One egged and one plated. Mainly to keep the thread from getting overloaded.

Congrats to the winners, awesome job. When I first saw the idea of the throwdown I just laughed it off. Then I looked at the showoff posts I really liked the idea. I won't have a shot but will definitely enter next time.XL BGE, LG BGE, and a hunger to grill everything in sight!!!Joe- Strongsville, OH

Thanks @Jeremiah and congratulations to the winners (and all participants). Every steak I saw looked better than any I've had in a restaurant. Look forward to the next throwdown. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, stay safe.
