Wanted to see how long I could go on a full load of lump.Filled medium up with frontier lump( bought a busted bag at lowes half price 7.50 for 20#)to bottom of platesetter.Had one small piece of hickory also.Outside temp a mild 50 degree last night and egg temp.avg.about 230.Cooked a 9# butt 18 hours and still have enough lump for at least two hours.

nice looking cook. I haven't tried to go longer than 12 hours on my medium, but always seem to have plenty of coal left.Cooking on an XL and Medium in Bethesda, MD.

I have taken a 12 lb packer brisket 20 hrs on my medium egg, with leftover lump. No problem.
