At $95 bucks it should be beefy and substantial! When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?) -
-
Would be cheaper back east, our west coast prices are steep sometimes.

I guess they think since it has a BGE label on it that's it's worth almost double the price! No thanks!Brandon, MS

It's kind of like shopping a William Sonoma. It's really nice stuff, but why in the hell would you pay $48 for a spatula? It looks like a nice cutting board but I think I'll keep my $95 dollars.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

A little pricey for me. I already have about ten cutting boards including a Boos. I think I will pass on this one.Gulf Coast FL

Would look good next to that $250 clock. Did you get one?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.
-
Why would they make an edge grain cutting board?
-
That's way too much for a piece of wood.
-
Its not too much for a piece of wood just too much for that piece of wood. I have a custom board that costs as much as a mini but it'll last forever and is end grain so its easier or my knives.

I've got some Ikea wood cutting boards that are cracking apart despite oiling and good upkeep. Any recommendations for good cutting boards somewhere in between $5 and $95?Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

I really like the concept of wooden cutting boards, at least to the degree that I can say it looks nicer in my kitchen, but I've never really understood them..
Can somebody educate me? Are they sanitary? How do you clean? How do they not soak up all meat juice like a sponge? Why are they better/worse than plastic?

I've got several that I've gotten from a neighbor. He custom makes them from exotic hardwoods. 75 bucks for 1&3/4" board. They are beautiful and appear to be holding up well.
