I searched the forum for this, but didn't see a clear answer. Gonna cook baby backs for 16 on Thursday at work- 8 racks. How would you layout that puzzle on a large?

I have put 6 vertically in the rib rack and criss crossed 2 across the top, they turned out great. I also put foil on ends of the racks that hung over the open area of the plate setter for the first hour so they didn't get direct heat for the whole cook._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide

You might want to foil the cooking grid where the rib ends hang over to protect them from direct heat and drying out the ribs. This way you ensure you don't lose any ribs :-)LBGE & MiniOrlando, FL

I'm loving the stacked ribs... Keep em cooking.

I saw where someone ran stainless steel skewers thru, and positioned the ribs in such a way so they don't actually touch. I did this yesterday for 6 racks - it worked great!I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

Would have never thought to do it that way but makes so much sense. Thanks for posting that @fljoemon

I cut mine in half and use this rack on my medium egg. Here are five big racks of Stl Style ribs on a medium egg.

This is mine on med egg, but I didn't try very hard

This ones better, having technical difficulties adding pic, just move them a little so the areas that touch get shifted around. Happy Egging.

I got nine racks on mine. Removed the fire ring. Platesetter legs up. Did 6 racks on their side in a rib rack, then just set another grid on top of the rib rack and put another 3 on.Worked pretty well. Took a little longer than usual to get them finished.
