How many warranty issues have you had?

Just gauging how many times you guys have had to call in for a warranty claim. I already had a dome replaced and now I have them reviewing the hinge/band assembly. Who knows…….perhaps next it will be a cracked firebox! Hoping I simply don't have bad luck.

I have had my medium PS replaced, and now my ceramic on the base of my medium is flaking, so 2 in 3 years ish.

I have three eggs for a couple of years. We've had one cracked firebox in that time.Flint, Michigan

I've had 4 fire boxes replaced, but all were handled locally with my dealer. Years ago I had a problem with the old style scizzor hinge on my small and I called Hotlanta and talked with Ed Fisher himself who took the info and mailed me a replacement.

1 disintegrated fire box over about 12 years. Otherwise, normal deterioration of the felt gasket, and to be expected.

3 so far. Plate setter, fire ring, and base, all in 1.5 years. Maybe the kiln they fired in when my ceramics were manufactured weren't quite hot enough.They/Them

In 13 years, two bases for my large, and a firebox for the large. I have broken firebox for my small, but I won't claim on it since there's no need to replace it. It is happy now. It won't crack any more. The Naked Whiz

Thank you all for this insight. I see many of you have had issues with the ceramics cracking. I know these eggs go through a beating sometimes but it seems odd that there have been so many that have cracked.Have you heard of other people with Kamado Joes or some other "egg" that have had just as many problems with the ceramics?

I guess I'm lucky, had my large for 3+ years and only replaced the felt gaskets with nomex ones.San Angelo, texas

I have had alot but I don't really remember how many. I know a medium and a large base because those have to have a higher level approval for replacement. The fire ring and fire box I just drive down to tucker and they hand you a new one if you bring a pic of the cracked one. Its a good excuse to see what's new in the store. I would guess I have replaced about 10 fire rings/fireboxes in the last 6 years. The fire box fire ring cracks are really not a big deal I did not need to replace them I just did because I can easily. I would guess the reason you see so many posts about cracks on the forum is due to how much people use them. I know I put probably 5 years worth of what others would consider normal use a year on my eggs. I know many others on here also use their eggs 3,4 or 5 times a week.

2 in less than a year. My fire ring first and then my fire box cracked. Both replaced without a problem and sitting in a box in my basement till the originals are unusable. If we're counting gaskets I also replaced my original gasket once it burned up, but I went with a Rutland from @RRP rather than going through the warranty.Madison, CTLBGE June 2013.

One in 2 years, large dome had a half-dollar sized chip pop off during a 600* steak cook.
