CGS ANG-L brackets in a Large?

Hi..I know the CGS Ang-L brackets are made for an XL, but has anyone used these in a Large to divide your firebox?

I realize they'll be too long to fit end to end but thinking I can overlap them..

Wonder if Tom would whip up a pair sized to a Large..I think he's mentioned doing "some" custom things in the past..

    Yes, you can overlap them in a LBGE. Here's a tri tip roasted indirect with banked coals and a sear to finish (on a mini CI grid):
