Poogans Porch and Husk off of Queen St in Charleston. They are next door to each other.
Glass Onion in West Ashley.
Page's Okra Grill in Mt Pleasant. They have Westbrook beer on tap(local brewer - white Thai is awesome) with great Lowcountry/southern food. They have a smoker outside and do live music. Good breakfast. -
I second poogans porch. Went for brunch. Amazing food. Love Charleston.

I suggest you make reservations early. Tough to get a seat during prime hours.

In Charleston, definitely hit up The Ordinary for dinner. For brunch, try Husk. Amazing food and drinks. Toast is another great brunch place that has bottomless mimosas and great biscuits n' gravy.

I went to Magnolia's in Charleston with my wife for a wedding anniversary and we still talk about wonderful the food was. It was honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. I wish it was closer so I could go back more easily.Poogan's Porch, which was mentioned several times, was another place we went to. I didn't care for it to be honest. I tried a couple of the house drinks and was really disappointed and the food was just okay. My wife had some pimento of some kind so she thought it was fine.Been to Savannah several times but never ate at a place that was "must go" but I didn't have the funds to really go to a "nice" place there either.Hilton Head has the Salty Dog Cafe, which we have to go to every time and get a new t-shirt.

Wow, lots of great places to choose from. Seems to be a common theme which makes it easier. I look fwd to it! The scale will have to be put away for a while it seems...I'll report back once the trip is over. I go mid-May.LBGE 4/2012, MBGE 6/2012 & Mini 11/2013Rome, GA

Don't miss the 1886 Restaurant at the Wentworth Mansion in Charleston (my favorite place to stay too). Also, we've had great seafood at Hanks.
-
The tasting menu at McCrady's is outstanding. Bring lots of cash, but you won't be disappointed.
