I found a slab of cryovacked baby back ribs in my freezer with a 2011 date. Will these be ok to cook and eat?

I would open them up and give them the smell test-if they pass that then cook away. (This assumes you haven't and thaw/refreeze power outage cycles during the freezer time).Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

May be edible, but I don't think they will be enjoyable. I tried a beef roast that was over a year frozen, and the texture was like cardboard.

Perfectly safe to eat but like gdenby said the texture may be off.

Cook it up and let us know how it tastes.

Cryoed or just wrapped up in plastic wrap?
Cryo would stand up better than the latter. Might not be so bad. Doesn't the Foodsaver site state cryo meat for up to 2-3 years?
-
Not the official Foodsaver site.

Our family rule is 'When in doubt, throw it out' ...I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.
