Today starting at 5:00 PM CST the Maverick ET-73 will be selling for $35.26. I have not priced these around. Is this a good deal? I have an older Maverick that only has one probe so this will definitely be an upgrade. Just wondering how good of a deal it really is and letting others know about it. Thanks.

It's roughly about half price. Can you provide a web link on where to find this?Dave - Austin, TX

Skip the 73 and get a 732 or 733. The 73 won't transmit the 100 feet or whatever it claims.

Mine won't even transmit 5 feet anymore, but it is a few years old. Thought about doing the antennae mod, but truth be told, I don't even use it that much anymore...like hardly ever.

I was thinking about the ET-733. That would be a good deal for that model.Dave - Austin, TX

It actually up right now for $29.99. If I had not just bought a thermoworks chefs alarm I would jump on this.

I would but I'm tired of buying extra probes.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

I agree I would skip the ET-73. The probes are too easy to fry. The 732 has thicker wires on the probes and they hold up better. I have seen the 732 go on sale for like $40-$45 a couple of times....actually, it is only $47 right nowWhich came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

that's a good deal for a 732.Dave - Austin, TX -
Probes go out on either model. I've never noticed much difference between the range. It's a fair thermo, but is going to be replaced every year or less depending on how much you us it._______________________________________________XLBGE

To OP: thanks for posting though. Just responding to some who had asked about the thermo_______________________________________________XLBGE

Thanks for all the input guys. I unfortunately never got around to purchasing it. Maybe next time. For those who say to pass on it, are you saying this just because you like the 732/733 models better or do you like a completly different brand in general?Large and Small BGECentral, IL
