My aunt has been given a 26# turkey and wants me to smoke it on the egg. My questions is obvious, how in tarnations am I going to get a 26# turkey into my Large BGE?

It will be tight but I bet you can do it. This is a very detailed recipe:...it illustrates using a roasting pan placed on the plate setter with spacers. MM is using the BGE feet they used to come with, but you could use something else such as copper plubming Ts.I think a set up such as that would be your best bet if you want to cook it all at once. Another thought would be to part it out and use 2 levels of cooking.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I've done like smokey says and put it in a DO or roaster with spacers right over the PS.
