I was looking at the partyq online and just wondering if anyone has one and if they have come up with any methods for weather protection due to the fact that it just hangs out the front of the egg.

I weather-proof my maverick by wrapping it up in one of those clear plastic bags from the produce section. You should be able to secure a bag to the partyq with a rubber band without it getting too much heat from the egg.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Gallon ziplock has worked for me.

If you're speaking about the fan you can put the open side down. I cooked 16 hrs through a monsoon with zero problems. Ziplock over the computer part. I can send you pictures tomorrow if you would like.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Good ideas. Thanks for the info. I wonder if anyone has ever tried separating the control from the fan. Maybe with some longer wires?

I have used mine in spitting rain. Wrapped it in saran wrap, seams on the bottom, and held in place with small rubber bands. Just be sure not to cover the intake to the fan on the bottom. Worked great.
