Opinions here were overwhelming - so now I need a Thermapen. (another thread on Thermapen - thanks for all the feedback)
Did a search; only older posts on where to buy one.
Therefore this post:
Where should one buy a Thermapen at this point in time?

Go with the backlit version. I feel like it is worth a few extra bucks if you don't use a flashlight for night time grilling.- Proud owner of a Large BGE- Norman, OK

Back when I got mine from a group buy here, they didn't have a splash proof or a backlit version. I feel old now.
