I am going to try an do a double smoked ham today since it seems to be the in thing round here lately )
Picked up a brown sugar cured bone in half ham to give it a shot... Figuring on scoring it all over and doing indirect at about 300 to 350. Being lazy, I also picked up some Baby Ray's Cola BBQ sauce that I might put on it when it's getting close. Going to use some peach and hickory for smoke and pull it at about 140IT...
While the ham is going, I'm going to be working on the sides for turkey day, the green beans and company potatoes. Once the ham is done, I am going to do the sausage for the stuffing and a couple of turkey necks for the gravy stock...
Pics at some point...

The IT is at 115 and I'm about to put the bbq sauce on while it gets up to 140.
My thanksgiving sides are baking away in the oven. String beans and company potatoes.

Ham looks great, Hapster. I'm doing my first ham for TG this week. I bought a fresh 6lb boneless ham yesterday. Beyond scoring it any other prep suggestions? Thanks, NickBronxville, New York. XLBGE, MBGE

I've often wondered if smoking a precooked ham would dry it out. Sounds like the results were good though.
