Fist Time Cook in CI Dutch Oven

Last night was the first time to cook in a CI Dutch oven on the BGE.

We elected to do Egret's Cow Lick Chili. Now being from Texas I normally will cook up some kind of a Texas Red. And saying that of course no beans.

This one really had a different flavor. Kind of like a true Mexican mole'.

I will say that a CI Dutch oven is the way to go. Meat had just the right smoke and the cooking was simple.

Thanks to Egret for another great chili recipe.
